Of course your mileage may vary here depending on how popular your company is but even if you're reaching just 1,000 people it's still cheaper to send emails than it is to post on Facebook.

And you don't have to worry about pesky algorithms!

One of the most frustrating aspects of social media marketing these days is having your posts either pushed down or taken off entirely because they're not deemed "relevant" enough by Facebook and Twitter. This is hardly a scientific approach as both companies make the final determination as to what's relevant and what isn't.
